Four Reasons Why
Four Reasons Why was founded by Mount Gambier single mother of four Trudi Shelton in 2017. She has been tirelessly serving her community since 2016 in her efforts to warm local children in need during winter with the Mt Gambier Winter Wear for Kids In Need campaign.
“As someone who has experienced hardship and trauma I know how tough life situations can be at times. Now that I am back on my feet I decided it was time to give back to my generous and caring community by helping others in need to get back on theirs.”
What They Do:
This initiative strives hard to provide support, assistance and opportunities to locals in need. All donations stay local, for locals.
They have targeted campaigns and calls to action with a focus on good condition pre-loved items, brand new goods, winter clothing & footwear, drink bottles, sports equipment and memberships for the identified needs of local children, families and persons, experiencing hardship.
They welcome any businesses or community members with a passion to make a difference who would like support local families with monetary donations or fundraising ideas.

South East Animal Welfare League
The SEAWL is a community based, not-for-profit organisation providing shelter for homeless and unwanted animals across the South East and surrounding areas.
Through the hard work of their dedicated staff and volunteers, the SEAWL aims to provide surrendered dogs and cats with a second chance at a safe and happy home.
The SEAWL receives no financial support from the local Government. It continues to rely on the support of generous community members and local organisations.
The SEAWL is an independent organisation and is not affiliated with the Animal Welfare League of South Australia (AWL).

Mount Gambier Cancer Support Group
The Mount Gambier Cancer Support Group supports people in the Limestone Coast with their cancer journeys by providing financial support in the form of:
- Accommodation,
- Fuel and Food vouchers,
- Medical expenses,
- Dental expenses,
- School expenses as needed, Xray, MRI expenses and gap fees,
- Supply of Wigs and Turbans.
They host numerous benefits and fundraisers every year, with all funds raised staying in the community to help local cancer patients and their families.
